Mit der Erfindung des Internets öffnen sich neue Wege der Kommunikation. Daten können in immer größer werdenden Mengen erstellt, transferiert und gespeichert werden. Doch erfordern diese Datenmengen eine neue Struktur und Organisation. Server sind darauf ausgerichtet große Datenmengen verwalten zu können.
Der Film erläutert fundiert den Aufbau von Servern mit den zugehörigen Hard- und Softwarekomponenten und deren Aufgaben. Grafisch animiert zeigt er das Zusammenspiel aller Bestandteile und definiert Kommunikation über lokale und überregionale Netzwerke. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Beschreibung der unterschiedlichen Serverdienste wie Mail-, File-, Game- oder Datenbankserver und deren Zuordnung in der Anwendung.

Madita is eleven and blind. She does not want to go to a special school but to a regular grammar school. She says she feels "normal" there. Jonathan is eight and has a walking disability. He likes going to the school where he lives. Here, his best friend sits next to him. Max Dimpflmeier, a teacher who is severely deaf, explains that school life is not easy.
