Doch was ist mit den Menschen, sterben in Stille leben müssen? Der Weltverband der Gehörlosen zählt weltweit 70 Millionen gehörlose Menschen und über 300 unterschiedliche Zeichensprachen, mit deren Hilfe sie sich untereinander – meist jedoch nicht mit ihrer Umwelt verständigen können. Es besteht die Gefahr von Ausgrenzung. Anhand praktischer Beispiele und Erfahrungen zeigt der Film Alltagssituationen von hörgeschädigten oder gehörlosen Menschen und wie Herausforderungen mit Hörenden zusammen gemeistert werden können Der Film bietet Lehrkräften eine Fülle an wertvollen Impulsen für die eigene Unterrichtsgestaltung.
