Chromatografische Verfahren sind physikalische / chemische Trenntechniken von Stoffen. Eingesetzt wird die Chromatografie beispielsweise in der Kriminaltechnik zum Nachweis von Giften, in der Kunst zur Untersuchung von Gemälden auf Echtheit oder im Sport bezüglich Dopingmittel im Blut.
Der Film erklärt die Entwicklung und das Prinzip der Chromatographie. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Dünnschichtchromatographie. Praktische Beispiele, u.a. der Trennung von Chlorophyll aus Blättern, demonstrieren die Funktion des Dünnschichtchromatographen.
In diesem Zusammenhang werden Fachbegriffe definiert und u.a. die Berechnung des Rf-Wertes veranschaulicht.
Interaktive Aufgaben, Testfragen und Glossar wurden mit H5P erstellt und können ohne weitere Software verwendet werden.
