Die wirtschaftliche Herausforderung, die das Ende des Kalten Krieges für die Stadt bedeutete und bedeutet, wird ebenso dargestellt wie die Chancen, die sich für Stadt einzig durch die Lage an einer wichtigen Ost-West-Verbindung ergeben.
