Frösche und Kröten sind Amphibien und gehören zur Ordnung der Froschlurche. Doch obwohl sie sich äußerlich sehr ähneln, gibt zahlreiche Unterschiede sowohl im Aussehen als auch Verhalten. Der Film zeigt die Ergebnisse rund um die Beobachtung unserer heimischen Amphibien. So beschreibt er u.a. die Charakteristiken der in Deutschland vorkommenden Frösche und Kröten und beantwortet Fragen wie: Warum quaken Frösche? Welche Farben können Frösche annehmen? Warum tragen Krötenweibchen die Männchen bei der Krötenwanderung? Wie vollzieht sich die Metamorphose von der Kaulquappe zum erwachsenen Tier? Auch zeigt der Film Gefahren, denen Frösche und Kröten ausgesetzt sind und zeigt Schutzmaßnahmen auf. Interaktive Aufgaben, Testfragen und Glossar wurden mit H5P erstellt und können ohne weitere Software verwendet werden.
