Resilienz bezeichnet die Fähigkeit, Rückschläge, Stress und schwierige Lebenssituationen zu meistern, sich davon zu erholen und gestärkt daraus hervorzugehen. Resiliente Menschen zeichnen sich durch Optimismus, Problemlösungsfähigkeit und eine hohe Selbstwirksamkeit aus. Sie sehen Herausforderungen als Chancen für Wachstum und Entwicklung. Mit viel Einfühlungsvermögen zeichnet der Film anhand von Wortbeiträgen unterschiedliche Herausforderungen und Schicksalsschläge junger Menschen nach. Es werden Fähigkeiten, Möglichkeiten und Techniken aufgezeigt, wie sich Resilienz lernen und stärken lässt.
