Albrecht D\u00fcrer, born in 1471, is one of the greatest painters of the Renaissance. At just 15, with the support of his father, he stopped his apprenticeship and devoted himself to art. Pictures such as \u201cHare\u201d, \u201cPraying Hands\u201d or \u201cAdam and Eve\u201d are as well known as his numerous self-portraits.<\/p>\n
The film shows D\u00fcrer’s stations as a painter, graphic artist and artist of engravings and woodcuts. He describes the entrepreneur D\u00fcrer, who used the invention of the printing press for his own interests and founded his own sales department with employees.<\/p>\n
For D\u00fcrer, mathematics and art belong together. In search of the perfect proportion and perspective, he shared his knowledge with the world and published the first mathematics textbook in German in 1525. He also created the first star maps of Europe with an astronomer and cartographer, among others.
